Humanitarian work
An extended hand of God’s love.
Almost every one of our local churches is involved in humanitarian work in one way or another — helping socially vulnerable families and individuals, or people with special needs, either regularly or from time to time. Most often the help takes the form of parcels of food, clothing or household goods that people need.
The AGAPE humanitarian organisation
Within the Evangelical Church the humanitarian organisation “AGAPE” is also registered, with the task of carrying out the humanitarian and charitable work of the EC in Macedonia. That includes helping those who cannot help themselves, regardless of national, religious or gender affiliation.
“Agape” helps the persecuted, the lonely, abandoned children, the spiritually burdened, and everyone else whose spiritual or bodily cares need to be carried for them and who needs to be offered appropriate help.
AGAPE did its heaviest work during the Kosovo crisis and the years that followed, but it still serves today as the instrument for humanitarian projects and for helping socially vulnerable families.

The clothing centre
Within the Evangelical Church in Negotino there is a humanitarian clothing centre, through which socially vulnerable families are helped.
The centre opened on 5 April 2022 and is housed in a public building known as the former Health Insurance Fund. The clothes and shoes come from people and organisations who donate them to us; most are second-hand but well kept, and we hand them out free of charge to people in need.
The premises are open two days a week and are run by volunteers.
